I decided to put some scraps together that were in a drawer , no pattern just some sewing to use up the scraps and I decided to call this quilt .."Just to see what I get" and here it is ready to be quilted.

I finished my "too pretty to cut up" challenge wall quilt.
It didn't come out as I had envisioned but it looks much better for real than it does on this picture ...
I am NOT a photographer ... lol lol
The glitter and blue stones are not visible in this one..

Too pretty to cut challenge
I am over half finished with my challenge. It has been stimulating and started my creative juices flowing.
I can't wait to see the completed project.

"Too pretty to cut up" challenge
I have accepted the "too pretty to cut up" challenge as a means to stimulate my creativity.
I happen to have a few pieces that I've been reluctant to cut up. One of these pieces will be my focus fabric.
Actually, enhancing the focus fabric will be the challenge since the focus fabric cannot be pieced..

I just finished the last block of the blk/wht/gray underground railroad sampler.
It was the carpenter's wheel on the top left in the picture below..
This was my first attempt at making flying geese and it was quite a challenge.
I think I'll put them aside for a while and work on the rest of the turq/chocolate brown/light blue/blk blocks ... or maybe not...lol
Did anyone besides me notice the bear's paw block was totally wrong... I fixed it ... lol

Stitching is therapy ...
I have been working on two Underground Railroad Sampler quilts, simultaneously.
These are not made of traditional fabrics ...
One is made up of assorted black/white/gray prints and solids.
The whole pallet of those colors throughout the fifteen blocks..
I am not a photographer(as you can see) but here are some of the blocks, still up on my design wall.
here are more of the 12 1/2 inch blocks...
I can't wait to put them together ... my imagination won't let me see the layout I'll use, yet.
Picture the other one made with assorted turq/light blue/chocolate brown/blk assorted prints ... should be an interesting layout too.
